Last year QFO was approached by the Prison Network who were in need of aprons for wearing by their volunteers who administer the craft outreach within the womens Prison system here. And then set to work creating them. The below message we received from their CEO Diane Spicer soon after they were received. Can't thank you all enough for these pinnies and for all the love that you put into making them for us. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!Prison Ministry
Quilts for Orphans
My story with ‘Quilts For Orphans’ (QFO’s) began when I finished full time work and then wondered what I am going to do with the rest of my life! At the age of 52, breast cancer interrupted full time work and after 3 operations, chemo therapy and radiation treatment, I was in no shape to go back to employment. So I began making little dresses for the orphans in India which were delivered by teams on Mission trips from my church. I then went to the Russian side of our Missions and asked ‘what can I do for them?’ They responded with the suggestion of beanies and scarves.
And from the Cpec Newsletter : A very big thank you to the lovely ladies at Quilts for Orphans who dropped in quilts for the Cpec Kids. He chose the gorgeous green quilt in front of him for his big boy bed that he will be sleeping in soon.We blessed CPEC

Hi everyone, As you can see from the attached photos the quilts were gratefully and joyfully received. A couple of the children quickly laid claims on the quilt that they wanted. The adults were overjoyed as well and loved the workmanship involved. The funds generated will enable the charity to continue to provide support for many children and families in need. The children at Shining Star will be able to enjoy their quilts in Shanghai and wherever they may settle.Mifan Mama
